Larrivée 00-50 sized guitars are held in very high regard and were not made in large numbers. This is even more exclusive being a Custom Shop, produced on May 8 2013 (4 days before Chris Hadfield played a slightly smaller version of this guitar on the Space Station).
 
This mahogany guitar has spent the majority of its life in a case in a collection, and only recently been allowed out to play. A new set of strings and a little tlc later, it has burst into life. It has a tone of its own - slightly more chime than the walnut Froggy, and a great piano like sweep across the strings. It really suits the finger more than the plectrum, but that will be the mahogany talking. With this Larrivée taking the clever lead bits and the '67 J45 taking care of the rhythm, an audience soon forms...
